Training - Shelter Bay Yacht Club

One of the major benefits of belonging to Shelter Bay Yacht Club is having ready access to the knowledge and experience of many boaters who share the love of what we do. Monthly training events during the non-boating season are an opportunity to share the collective expertise of our members and outside presenters with unique information of value to the boating community. Members with special knowledge or expertise are encouraged to contact the training team about giving a presentation.

Training topics have included anchoring techniques, border crossing procedures, fire safety and others. With constant changes in technology, regulations and other aspects of boating, continuing education is essential to safe and enjoyable boating.

The training program is managed by the Training Team which includes the three trustees on the Board of Directors.
